Let's Review Walmart.com! (Store Review Episode 2)

Dear Sparkling Wishbones,

I just received my order today from Walmart.com, it's been a very excited day! I ordered from them because a few cute T-shirts caught my attention and they were one of the few stores I could find that took a bank transfer. (I actually think yesterday Paypal finally fixed the issues with my account.~) Let's get started shall we?

The Packaging

This is the bag my order came in, not unlike Bodyline bags I've received. It was really touch to open and I ended up stabbing it with a pencil to open it, but at least you know your items won't fall out. It was very well sealed.

I'm not really sure why this piece of paper was really crinkled, it was just in the bag that said what was in my order.

The Order!!

Is that not a beautiful looking pile?

Let's start with the one I really did open first, Rainbow Brite!

I have to mention how neatly everything, but this top especially, was folded. It looked better than when you get them directly from the store. It was so soft and I was in for a surprise I wasn't expecting also.

This is the super cute front side they have pictures of on the website, and;

Look at the adorable back print that I didn't even know about! <3 It was such a nice surprise.

This one fits very well, maybe the best of the bunch! The sleeves are made a little longer than these 14/16 Walmart shirts usually are and that is the main problem I have with most shirts I get at Walmart. Here is a picture of this shirt worn, the skirt I bought is worn with every shirt so even though I haven't reviewed the skirt yet, I will very soon.

Just a little snap of me wearing it (plus the skirt) I have on my night clothes under it (a thick tank top and night shorts) I wanted to be able to change in the room~

I had to snatch up this Rainbow Brite shirt, it was such a cute 80s inspired fairy kei find! I couldn't believe they had her actually, is Rainbow Brite making a comeback in mainstream culture? Still available on Walmart.com and I believe in select stores also. (Mine is in a size 14/16 Girls)

On to the next one I opened!!

This one wasn't folded as good as the flawless Rainbow Brite shirt, but was still folded very nicely!

This shirt was the second very pleasant surprise I had. I almost didn't get this one because the darker shade of pink (I was looking to buy more fairy-kei-able shirts, so light pastels and 80s characters) This shirt stole my heart ever since I took it out of the package. I knew I made the right choice spending the 5 extra dollars to buy this. The chick is adorable with her glasses and her little bow and the message is perfect. That's what fashion is all about, expressing yourself. So I know think I was silly to consider not getting it, it's perfect for Fairy-kei despite the darker shade! (Plus the chick reminds me of a line of characters I designed for my Fairy-Kei clothing line I'm working on! <3) This shirt also fit very well, the second best fitting of the 3 shirts. (Rainbow Brite fit the best as I mentioned earlier.) This shirt is a girls 14/16 and I believe is still available online and possibly in select stores.

The bulges that look awkward are just from the thick tank top that I mentioned I was wearing underneath.

Next we have that skirt you keep seeing!

This one couldn't really be folded as perfectly as the shirts because of the ruffles, but it still felt so nice and fresh when it came out of the bag! <3

I'll admit right now, I love the majority of things Walmart puts out with Hello Kitty on it. It's not just because I like Hello Kitty (Who doesn't?) Sanrio type things tend to be made in a way so compatible with Fairy-kei. The light color along with the layer with tulle and stars under another regular skirt layer just makes it look so sweet. I actually have another Hello Kitty Walmart tutu similar to the start material. The star pattern looks about the same, but the other one is a hot pink while this is more of a baby pink. (I will have pictures in my post about shopping for fairy-kei at Walmart with pictures of the skirt I'm referring to.) I really like this skirt and you can see pictures of it in all of the pictures on this article because this skirt was the only bottoms I had in the order so I just wore it with all the tops for worn pictures. This skirt is being sold on both Walmart.com and in select stores I think and it is a size 14/16 girls. I wasn't sure if it would be too big but it fit my waist fine and has plenty of elastic still. My waist is about a 24 around I believe to give you an idea.

Last, but not least! (In fact I opened it last because I was saving my favorite for last!)

I was so excited I forgot to snap a separate picture of this one sitting in the plastic.

This shirt was the sole reason I ordered from Walmart.com in the first place. I saw it in our local Walmart and when we went back I wanted to get it, but it was gone! I decided once to look for it on the site and was able to find it and saw the advertisement for 97 cent shipping! I found they took bank transfers and not just Paypal and I was sold. I found a few other gems and made my order. I knew by looking at it these sleeves were made shorter so I wasn't surprised when this one fit the worst of the three, just in the sleeves mostly. No matter who wears these shirts the sleeves look short so I think it's just a design some Walmart shirts have. This shirt is exactly what I wanted. Something cute, pastel, and with an adorable design on the front. I actually had the pink Moshling on Moshi Monsters I believe (that's the game the characters on the shirt are from and it's one I play.) This shirt was the favorite with my friends, though my aunt really loved the Rainbow Brite shirt. (Who could blame her that one is so cute!) This shirt is one I've been very excited about and it lived up to my expectations well! The color on the website and the color in the actual shirt match very well. Walmart has done a great jobs with the color on the stock photos of the clothes I received. I can't wait to wear this shirt with fairy-kei coords, but I don't think I'll put it through the dryer, I'll just let it air dry. Here is this one worn;

I'm not a fan of the look of the shorter short sleeves on me, but I can easily pair this with a cute open jacket or something.
This is what I was left with in packaging when it was all opened. Not too bad.

Well that's my review! I give Walmart.com a 4.7 out of 5 for my experience today, the little I took off is for the weird short sleeves they do on their T-shirts, but that is my only complaint. Shipping was fast and cheap and everything lived up to my expectations completely. I am very happy with my order and if you have any individual sizing questions feel free to ask me. I will cover more about Fairy-kei at Walmart in a future post I've been planning.~ My next store review will be on Target.com I had a gift card and I already have something in the mail! See you next time Pretty Princesses (and Princes and everything else!)

Sweetly Yours,

Skiteanna La~Sweet

I am going to need to pass on day three until I can actually do that (:( ) Right now we're staying with aunts while our house is being worked on and I sort of share a tiny room with two other people and it's not really my house, so, I try to keep the personalizing to a minimum.~ I still wanted to do a few days since I was gone a while while Sugar was ill. Let's start with 4 that one sounds like a lot of fun! Let's go!

Day four: 5 of your style-icons.

1. Let's start with an obvious one for me, a girl who needs no introduction in the fairy kei world.

She may have already left Fairy-kei for the most part, but the legacy she left behind will live on and continue to help many girls just getting into the fashion. Pastel Ai gave Fairy-kei a voice for me and I'm sure many other girls. She made it a more friendly and relatable fashion. Her bubbly and charming personality and her amazing fashion sense made me want to watch her videos again and again and always made me smile! Sure I was sad the day I learned she wanted to leave fairy-kei(again, only for the most part), but now I know that no matter what she has imprinted the fashion forever and she has left a standing impression on me. She was who I looked up to starting in fairy-kei, I looked at her and thought to myself how I would love to be like her. Pastel Ai is someone who has been able to leave her mark on this fashion just by being her cute and fun self! That is always been a personal goal of mine too, actually! Hopefully I can succeed in my idols footsteps, eh?~

2. Look who it is! It's Princess Peachie!

You said it Peachie! (I found the picture here http://cutebacon.tumblr.com/ I just googled Princess Peachie! XD)

Sure I don't have a lot of fully "fairy-kei" picture influences here, but I would feel wrong not listing Peachie. Peachie is someone I look up to, not just for fashion inspiration, but for just about everything. If I honestly had to choose one person I admire at this moment more than anyone else, it's Peachie! I have said a lot of this before, but I've meant it then and I mean it now. Peachie is honest, sweet, kind, hard-working, and just plain adorable! I mean, maybe since I don't know her well personally I may have an idealized version of her in my head, but I'm convinced the way I see her is mostly the truth. I know she has so many fans, but she took time to talk to me back when I talked to her and she took time to comment long and detailed thank yous whenever I drew her something. It goes without saying that Peachie has style also, of course. She rocks Bodyline better than anyone I've ever seen and I think they should pay her for all the positive advertising she's done for them, but that's just my personal opinion. I don't want to gush too much and I want to keep all of these about the same length, but Peachie is my idol in everything. It's not just fashion. Peachie is someone I look up to in every way. Peachie is someone who always makes me smile, and Peachie is someone that I had to mention in this list! No matter what she's gone through she seems to always come out of it strong. (If she ever reads this I hope she knows what an inspiration she is to me and so many others. I wish I could say I'm her biggest fan, but that's not fair to everyone else so we can all equally be her biggest fans, kay?~) Plus, she did say in one of her videos that she was into fairy-kei I think, so that makes this completely on topic! <3

3.  It's Mio!~ Mio BabyLove

I grabbed the picture from here, again just googled her name. http://babydoll-princess.blogspot.com/2010/08/fairy-kei.html

Another iconic name in fairy kei! If you search fairy kei I don't doubt you'll see Mio all over the place! Her style is amazing and it's near impossible to deny! I fell for Mio's style when I first watched her video of her dress-up time! Her video is just so sweet and adorable and fun to watch, I could watch it over and over again! She is the kind of girl who's room and closet any aspiring fairy-kei girl would want to get their hands on~! She seems to have the qualities of being both sweet and edgy and just has something different, something special, that make her always interesting no matter what it is she does! Whether it's a video or a post in her blog I always love to hear what Mio has to say!~ <3

4. Here is someone I recently discovered, Serepuff!

I have been going absolutely crazy for her blog lately! She has easy to understand tutorials that are so creative and useful! She also has a very unique style and she does a lot of thrifting for her fairy-kei gems (like me <3) She's someone I am just learning about, but I'm already very excited to be a follower of her blog. She also introduced me to uchuu kei (which I will forever associate with her.) I would love to give that a try. She also is one of the only people that has a fairly regularly updating blog that I can relate to. I can relate to her and her posts and I'm very glad! <3 I wish I had a little more to say about her, but right now I only have that she is very impressive and innovative and I can't wait to see all the things she creates in the future! <3

5. The one, the only, Tavuchi/Tabuchi (I've seen it both ways so I wanted to make sure I put both, just in case.)

I used to have one of those baby strollers when I was younger, ahh <3 Found here, google http://kitten.buzznet.com/user/journal/17227272/fashion-profile-sayuri-tabuchi/

She is considered the founder of fairy-kei, though according to this, she never actually referred to the fashion as Fairy-kei. She is so adorable and her adorable look can't be over looked! She is the creative reason fairy-kei exists! She is the founder of Spank!, Spank! Me, and Ticket to Darling. She is easily one of the most important people to the fairy-kei fashion. So much of my taste in clothes seems to come from her. She has inspired a lot in me, like my love for big cute glasses with my fairy-kei. They seem to go hand in hand for me and I usually don't think a fairy-kei outfit is complete without a pair of big glasses! No matter what she's wearing she always manages to be cute and unique. She is a unique individual and she is a great inspiration to me! <3 (I of course admire many more than this, but the challenge called for just five of them this time.~)

All of these girls are wonderful and innovative and have affected my own style as time has passed. I hope they don't mine my using their pictures, I just thought it would be good to pair the name with a face~ ( :) ) If anyone has a problem with their picture being used just tell me and I will take care of it immediately. Thank you all for being inspirations to me and so many other girls!

This is the only one I'm going to do right now. I'm running on no sleep, I'm expecting a package today and I'm very excited! I'm also waiting to hear from the Lolita Blog Carnival! (Fingers crossed?~)

Anywho, I'll see you next time! I might take a nap or something fun like that. :DD

Twitchily Yours, (I think that may be from the lack of sleep! <3)

Let's Go Trick Or Treating! (Improvised Halloween Costumes, Happy Halloween!)

Dear Cutie Oogie Boogies,

Happy Halloween!!! (uhh...sorta! Pretend it's still Halloween I had so much trouble with my sister's phone and getting the pictures we took from Halloween on my computer :( )

This year I wanted to go as the ever adorable and fantastic Draculaura from the wonderful like of Mattel dolls, Monster High. Though at the store if I wanted the full costume (a 14/16 in girls they had and a wig) I would of been set back at least 45 dollars (YIKES!!) I would rather spend that on clothes for all year! So I decided to think of something else. I put together a costume entirely with things I already owned! Let me show you...

This is the Draculaura costume I wore for Halloween! I have the doll that I carried around also. Let me tell you what I did. I looked through what I had and put together the closest thing I could to her actual outfit, I also had another outfit ready that I thought looked like something she might wear since of course people and monsters don't always wear the exact same outfit every time! I wore the outfit that looked like the doll I had since I thought the twinsies would be cute! For a Draculaura costume all you really need is a good mixture of pink and black in an adorable outfit! If you want a costume that looks like mine I'll tell you each outfit component I used.
Head: I actually picked up this pink pigtail headband from Goodwill since it was cute and charming and only a couple dollars, since my hair is fairly dark I just put it up in pigtails with my hair and it turned out pretty good, a lot better than spending 25 dollars on a cheap wig I would only wear a couple of times. If you don't have something like this, you could just get pink ribbon to tie in your hair or color strips of paper pink and put them in your hair. If your hair isn't dark you could get just black hair spray and then do the former instruction (Though I think buying black AND pink spray would be better in price than the wig, but I don't know for sure.) I added a bow even though she doesn't wear one because I thought it topped off the outfit well. I did simple makeup, just sunscreen and pink powder over it then drew a pink heart with sharpie on my cheek. My lips have a simple red, but you can't go wrong with pink, dark purple. or black lipstick. After that I wiped off a little off the bottom lip and drew on fangs with some of Megan's face makeup (You could use white eyeliner or anything you feel would work really.)

Neck: That is just a cute flowery shawl my aunt let me borrow for Halloween!~ You could use anything you want. I think a filly handkerchief or anything white and frilly would work great, actually anything white a splash of white is all you need so anything white you can find should work fine.~

Torso: I am wearing this pretty lacy black long sleeved shirt that, again, my aunt let me borrow. Over that I have a simple hot pink tank top from Rue 21. ( I actually think the black shirt was bought at Rue 21 too) Just whatever long sleeved (or short sleeved) shirt you can find should work, over that anything pink and with less sleeve (a hotter pink preferably) She wears a pink vest, or you could add white buttons to your pink top it would help.~

Bottom: I have a black tulle skirt borrowed from my sister under a white Bodyline petticoat that I almost never wear because it lost it's poof right away and isn't really cute enough to wear as a fairy kei tutu. If you have a white skirt, that would be perfect. Something white is the most accurate, but another color could be worn. I have a below picture of another version of this outfit with a different skirt.

Legs and Shoes: Just whatever you have should be fine. If you can find black tights and some kind of pink shoes. If you can't find black tights, that isn't really a big deal (she's wearing short fishnets anyway) you could use a different color tights, socks, or go without whatever you prefer. If this is for Halloween it can be harder to see your shoes when it gets dark and if you plan to be walking a lot you want something comfortable. This category is the easiest to not be perfect on. The shoes I have on are from Bodyline and the tights I think I got in a pack at Rue 21, I have all kinds of black tights that come packaged with my white and pink tights and I almost never wear them so this gave me a chance.

When picking an outfit take the weather into consideration! I was hot when the sun was out, but was perfectly cool once it went down. I live in Texas and it can still get pretty hot this time of year! <3

This is the same outfit with a different skirt! Skirt is from Goodwill~

This is me with Mckinley! All this costume he wore is a sharpied mustache ( I drew it on for him) 3d glasses with popped out lenses and a hat (normal clothes otherwise) He wasn't feeling well and didn't go trick or treating, but I wanted him to feel included. I made him a name tag also, it says Hi, my name is Mr. R Butts (He wanted it to say that so why not? XD) He went as a fancy pants fast food employee I think! Easy improved costume if you don't wanna spend money~!

Another picture of us in our costumes, also for a candy bag I just used my purse because I thought it matched and it was plenty big enough~

I went quite a few places this October! This is me with a group of friends we just threw together last minute this group costume idea. We went as kids on the Polar express and just wore night clothes a robe and carried stuffed animals! I brought my giant Cheer Bear, wore my big pink night shirt, frilly bloomers a borrowed robe thing, and my cute fluffy pink kitty slippers. I also just threw my hair up in cute pigtails~ Also, LOOK WE MET BATMAN :DD

Sadly, this was the best picture we got of Mckinley wearing his Clawd Wolf costume :( (Clawd is Draculaura's boyfriend) All he had was a wolf mask he cut the face out of and some nice clothes. (I actually went trick or treating twice this one rich neighborhood did trick or treating early and Megan had friends there that invited us. Mckinley went this time, but was sick on Halloween.)

We also met Tony the Tiger! We went to this little Halloween carnival thing. This was the day I wore the Draculaura costume with the peachy pink skirt and I actually won the best costume for kids 10 and up! I think it was more the smile and hopefully cheery look on my face that won it, rather than the costume itself. (I got a pink monkey doll and "winner" plastic metal thing, I was really happy to have won, haha!) Megan (In the purple shirt) went as a volley ball player which is a pretty easy improved costume too!

So there you have it! My improved, cheap, Halloween costumes this year! I hope this can help you for next year if you happen to want to go as anything I did this year~! <3 I hope your Halloween was super happy and you got a lot of candy, just don't get sick eating it all!!! <333333

Also, if you were wondering my guinea pig, Sugar, has started improving a lot! She can move on her own now, just not as well, but it's a start! I should resume blog entries after this one very soon.

Spookily Yours,

Draculaura, I mean Skiteanna La~Sweet

GUINEA PIG IS SICK HIATUS UNTIL SHE'S BETTER

Sorry sprinkle pops I have to dedicate all my time to helping my guinea pig, Sugar, get better. We can't afford to take her to the vet right now and so I'm relying a lot on the internet to help me. Right now I'm keeping a constant eye on her and trying everything I can. We separated her from Spice, our other guinea pig, and put her cage right by my bed. She has seemed a little better recently and I think I may have found the problem, though we are entertaining several theories.

She has been dragging around her back legs and when we first discovered a problem she couldn't move around at all. She has been having eye crust and I cried lie a baby this morning when her nose was all crusty and I thought she was going to die ): She has been progressing a lot through out the day and I am feeling much more optimistic now! She's been eating alright, but she only really likes the fuzzy parts of her hay, but at least she eats it. I also hand fed her half a carrot. We have been trying calcium (a possible problem is a calcium deficiency according to many many sites I looked at.) It has also come to my attention that the vitamin c supplements sold at petco are inadequate as far as supplements go and that happens to be the kind I give them.

Overall, I think my piggy has scurvy and I will treat it as scurvy and see if I notice any huge changes. I'll try to link my blog to my twitter and keep everyone updated about Sugar's condition. Hope with me that she will be okay, it may take a week to see results.

Please offer advice if you keep guinea pigs and may know what I can do! Thank you bundles I love you all!~ <3

Yours (though ever so troubled),

Let's Do The Fairy-Kei 30 Day Challange! (Day 2. How I got into Fairy-Kei you ask?)

Dear Pastel Pumpkins,

Day two: Why and how you got into Fairy-Kei.

Well, I am also a Lolita and was a Lolita first. being a Lolita ended up opening so many doors to all kinds of different fashions. The only sub style of Lolita I was really interested in dressing was Sweet (The fairy, OTT, deco kind of sweet~) So, when I found Fairy-Kei you can imagine that it would be and was a perfect match! At first I was just a closet Fairy-Kei, trying not to lose sight of Lolita in the process of adopting another fashion. My Fairy-Kei then just consisted of dancing around in a cute T and my cutest pinkest Lolita pannier! (I still do that a lot of the time XD) Now I've branched out to making my Fairy-Kei coords more wearable and leaving the house in them. (Wearable meaning not just a tutu and T-shirt, seeing as if I left the house in that I would feel rather exposed. >.>)

Simple outfit I wore out one time (XD) I had a jacket I wanted to wear with it to make it look better, but it was way too hot! I felt like this post needed some pictures and color, it was too naked :P~

Fairy-kei is cute and colorful and as I've said before what's not to love (>u<)

Spookily Yours, (Who here is looking forward to Halloween?)

Let's Do The Fairy Kei 30 Day Challange! (Day 1. Likes and Dislikes)

Dear Cutie Popples,

(I found this today and decided to give it a try! I tried to do the Lolita one once and never did get it finished so I hope I can stay on top of this one!) ..(Oh! And if anyone knows the source of the challenge I would love to credit them!)

☆ Day one: 5 things you like and 5 things you dislike about Fairy-Kei.

I actually have a lot I like about  Fairy-kei! It may be a little harder to think of 5 whole things I don't like because I tend to prefer thinking positive about things, especially things I like!~

Likes

Awwwww~ What's not to love about Fairy-Kei!?~ Photo from Pastel Ai

+ I love how cute it is! I just smile when I see girls dressed up in it, when I dress up in it, when I think about it, It just makes me really happy! I love reasons to smile and be happy and I think everyone should have them.

+ I love how it really fits with my personality! How the lists of traits that may belong to a Fairy-Kei girl tend to belong to me just make me giggle.

+  I love how it's made me rediscover all the things I loved growing up to find I love them just as much now.

+ I love how it helps to make me feel like I have a purpose, like the days when I'm in the store and people looking at me smile as if seeing something so out of the ordinary made their day, or how when I put together really cheap coordinates it just makes me giddy to help other girls do the same thing!

+ I love how, in Fairy-Kei, I can shop anywhere with hopes of finding all the things I need for a full fairy kei outfit! (I can't shop online right now because I'm having paypal troubles, so I need to be able to shop fairly locally.) I have made several outfits from the clothes I bought at Goodwill a few days ago and a lot of my Fairy-kei comes from Goodwill! What I love about goodwill is that they don't sell anything specific. You can get just about anything there, old or new styled, and it is all arranged by color! Fairy-Kei can always work for me any day, no matter where I shop, because it is such a flexible style!

+I love... wait oh dear... we already hit 5 didn't we?  Oh well on to the dislikes :( I'm gonna have to listen to so much fun Cyndi Lauper music after this to wash away all the negative energy. ( :) )

Dislikes

Do you ever walk through a stre and see the little kid and baby clothes and think, now why can't they make that in my size!?http://www.candykidsboutique.com/assets/images/PinkRufflePettiDress.jpg

- I suppose I don't like how I can never really find the pastel shades in my size in the mainstream stores. Sometimes I fear what people will say when my coordinates aren't completely pastel since that is a huge part of the Fairy-Kei style. If I could order online the first thing I would pick up would be several cute pastel T-shirts and cutsews! <3

- I don't like how I don't have enough money to buy all the Fairy-Kei in the world ): ... is that really  a dislike about Fairy-Kei?....Close enough :)

- I wish the community could be as strong as the Lolita community. I don't know if maybe a lot of girls don't wear Fairy-Kei that often or maybe there just aren't as many Fairy-Kei girls yet as there are Lolita girls. I just would like to see more Fairy-Kei meet-ups, they seem like they could be so much fun! (If your a Texan Fairy-Kei girl too, tell me in a comment :) )

- I sometimes wish I could find more blogs to follow on blog spot that regularly update and inspire me!~ (If you know of a few please let me know!)

- I want to be in a Fairy-Kei girl band so much X'D Why oh why can't I know more Fairy-Kei girls!

Yay! That was actually really fun~ I hope you all enjoyed reading it and I do have a main blog post in the works, I can't wait to answer tomorrows challenge question! Stay cute! <3

Sleeplessly Yours, (Why can't I sleep at night lately? :'D)

Let's Review Cutie Pops! (Doll Review For Cutie Pops, Chiffon)

Dear Crumpet Dumplings,

Same picture of "Chiffon" from the back of the box! ( ;) )

Back again everyone! Just got home from an evening out with family, we went to Rue 21 and got a few things and had a super good time! Look out for my upcoming post on Rue 21 too!~

This post is actually a few days late, but I have just had to work on getting my sleeping schedule back in order and boy it was a nightmare! I've really seemed like a vampire lately, too many late nights and days spent passed out until five. I only could get a few hours of sleep last night and we left pretty early  for shopping, but I made it so far without passing out so I think I can make it through the night! It can be just terrible and time wasting trying to get your sleep  schedule back, but since I've been out of school falling into bad habits is all too easy!

Enough about me! On to today's blog post that I am very excited about! Cutie Pops! A very very new line of dolls out in the main stream markets. I had honestly never heard of them until I saw them at Walmart and they stole my heart away! They were wearing Lolita!! Whether it stated it or not, they were! I was amazed! The first comparison I made was to Pullips and Blythe dolls, but my Cutie Pop doll was only about 20 dollars! I was so thrilled I couldn't stop bouncing up and down with vigor and I could not WAIT to get home, get the box open, and play with the "Chiffon" doll I bought! I wasn't a fan of the name for her, so I actually decided to rename her (Cotton, after Cotton Pinku!).

(Oh dear, I meant to get right back to this when I was tired and left it here and then...well life got in the way and I finally got a baby paint brush on neopets...hehe.. I really hope I remember all the points I wanted to make!)

(Goes to grab the doll for inspiration) Firstly, let me just say that this doll is insanely cute and it caught my eye the second I spotted it on the shelf! I'm not always an impulsive buyer (okay, okay I can pretty often buy impulsively), but this doll deserved to be bought and was a total bargain. Let's get a closer look, shall we?

Starting With the Packaging!

One of the more important things to the sale of a doll can be the package, but this doesn't usually have much to do with the dolls quality. That being said, I loved the  packaging of this doll! It was cute and eye catching and it just helped little "Chiffon" scream 'Take me home, take me home!' even more. (and I did) The heart-ish asymmetrical shape of the box is very eye catching as is the colorful elements everywhere in the packaging! (I'm a girl who loves pink, and the pink was there.)

Picture of Cotton (Chiffon) taken on my phone as soon as I got home that day!
Doesn't it just make you want to rip them straight from the shelves! How about a few more pictures?

Some mini pictures of the other beautiful dolls in the line!
There is what the whole package looked like! The back is so pretty that I have it hanging up in my room next to my Lala Loopsy poster~ Onward to the inside of the package! It was fairyly hard to open, but not much harder than your average barbie doll. My biggest concern is the amount of force it took to get her out worried me that I might break her (she came out of it just fine)

This is her sitting inside of the inner packaging with the top part off. You can see she comes with a few accessories I'll talk about later. (She's pretty right? look at that hair! <3) Be careful removing her from the package and don't break the pops when you 'pop' them out of that plastic! (They are in there VERY snugly) Also, she has a hair brush that you may have missed in your excitement. Try not to throw it away with the package. (Like I almost did.)

The Doll Is Out Of the Packaging!
Once she was free I quickly noticed her adorable, well made dress and her OTT cupcake eyes! (Her eyes are purple and have a CUPCAKE inside of them!) The eyes pop out so you can exchange them with the included 'sleeping' pair of eyes.

The sleeping eyes are glittery and mainly blue with pink polka dots. I would LOVE to try this with my eye makeup someday. Also the sleeping eyes had a bit of gem type things on the eye lashes. I love both sets of eyes, but I prefer the dreamy shut eyes. As you can see, she also comes with 2 sets of pigtails that 'pop on'. Her main hair that is permanently attached to her head is plastic and hard (and blonde). It seems like it would be a weakness to the doll, but I hardly notice. It is just as fun to play with the pop on pigtails and make up new styles with those (though I am a pigtails kinda girl). The pop it on system for all the accessories is really great. I rarely have a problem with things falling off, but I do have to watch the hair bows. (So if your going somewhere with your doll, either keep a close eye on the hair bows or take them out.)The bow attachment system is different from the other systems of attachment and tend to fall out pretty easily, but the other pops like the cupcakes and hearts are locked in very tightly and are so well attached they can be hard to change. (All the little cupcakes and hearts on the skirt and bows are detachable and interchangeable.) The doll comes with a few extra pops if you want to change the look a little.

Megan also got a doll that day of the same brand, this is our dolls taking a nap on the job!
Megan's doll, Starr, came with mostly the same kind of accessories except she comes with a dog and accessories for the dog! (Her doll was also a little bit more money.) The dress on Starr is far less Lolita looking than all the other dolls in the series, but it is still cute and well designed! My favorite part of Megan's doll are the 3D glasses she comes with (her dog has a matching pair).

This is what Starr looked like in her package, a little bigger to make room for her dog! (All the girls have a fashion dog, but I believe Starr is the only one sold WITH her dog.) Her pigtail pops consist of  real hair blue and blonde bun set and a red and blue yarn set ( much like how Cotton came with a pink yarn set of hair) Starr reminds me a little of the 4th of July with her color theme, but I love it!

All the dolls seem to be very well made and so nicely designed! I can only speak for the 2 I have for now, but from what I've heard and seen in stores this is going to be a really strong doll line! (Also, Starr has blue eyes with popcorn in them and I never did get a good picture of her dog :( )

Cotton loves the camera! I took a LOT more pictures, but i may save some for future entries I plan to do. (isn't that cute? My Pinkie Pie key chain is about as big to her as my jumbo Pinkie plush doll is to me!)

I was very inspired by this doll and plan to make a few more posts based around her, kind of like a series! I wanted to do a hair style post (cause I came up with a LOT of hair dos for her.) I also wanted to do a post about the other brands of dolls who's clothes she can fit in. It's a shame I didn't do this sooner when it was all fresher on my mind. This doll will hopefully be big in the Lolita community and FINALLY I have a fashion doll to try and twin with. ;) I recommend this doll very highly to anyone who may be interested.

For the price everything is at least a 4.5-5 out of 5 stars. The only real flaws are the hair not being completely real (though that may make it more manageable for little kids.), the possibility of paint imperfections on the hair, the hair bows don't stay in THAT well, an the arms don't bend. (oh, did I mention, THE KNEES BEND it was one of the immediate things I noticed and I almost forgot to say anything about that.) Right now, this is the closest I may be to a Blythe or Pullip, but someday I will have one of each! (Oh dreams~ How nice) I do plan on eventually getting a Blybe though! (I just recently heard about them, they are like fake Blythes and less than half the price! I heard some good things, some bad and I want to find out for myself as soon as I can order online. Is anyone else having a LOT of problems with paypal?)

What is your opinion on Cutie Pops? Do you have one? Would you like to see more posts featuring Cotton? Who wants me to get a Blybe so I can review it for you all? Are you having a nice day? Comment and tell me!

In other news, I just finished Ru Paul Drag Race Season 4, I got a huge fairy kei haul courtesy of goodwill, I finally got a baby paint brush on neopets, I might be Princess Bubblegum or Draculaura for Halloween, and speaking of Draculaura I bought the original Draculaura doll! (want a review? ;) )

Anyways, I'm glad I finally got this entry out and I'll try to come back with more REALLLY soon!

Tardily Yours,
