Let's Have a Happy Easter!! (Happy Easter, what I've been up to)

Dear Chocolate Covered Rainbow Bunnies,

I have at least been making one post a month I suppose. (ô_ô) I'm so sorry my cutie pies! I am here to explain myself and to wish you all a super happy Easter!

Also, this is where it gets heavy so grab yourself some popcorn.

Okay! To begin with I have been feeling a bit lost, kind of a how should a spend my time, what will make me happy, what will make my time really useful, sort of feeling. I also have been feeling a bit down and have not really dressed up in a way that made me happy lately. I also feel like I may be going through a style evolution. Not one that will be too visible on the outside, but one on the inside. How I feel about my style has been changing. I am realizing that I have been getting so caught up in what I think other Lolitas would want me to be that I started to forget who I was and why I loved the fashion. These feelings kept me from wearing Lolita for months. I wasn't sure what I wanted anymore. I was starting to feel conflicted about my own identity! I have been thinking of myself in different ways. Revisiting all my old hobbies that I used to enjoy. (A long long time ago in a galaxy I used to do amvs and make cartoon and anime voice overs/ fandubs.) Doing things like that used to be my whole world, but at one point I just stopped. I went back at it and also have tried my hand at vlogging. I have been trying so hard to find what I'm meant to do, whatever in this world will allow me to make other people and myself happy.

I am getting a bit off topic since this was still supposed to be a fashion post I wanted to focus on how my new confusing feelings would affect my style and this blog. I won't be changing how I dress much at all. I am just remembering the reasons I loved it in the first place. I don't want to listen to the inner pressures telling me to be more Lolita, making Lolita less fun for me. I don't think I can continue to buy dresses I don't wear anymore, I don't want to feel like a caged bird inside my own mind either. I want to allow myself to feel more freedom. I have no friends except for Mckinley living nearby since I moved. I have been mainly looking into making local Lolita friends and I am so worried about them liking me that I don't know what to do with myself. I hope I'm not being confusing I am mostly just puking out my feelings. They needed to be vented. Also I write stories, some of them I make with my friend and she is a talented artist so she draws them into comics! That's been getting me by lately since I love writing. I want blogging and dressing up to be full of fun and wonder again. The reason I started dressing up was not to be accepted by anyone. It was to like myself more. To feel more like the me on the inside on the outside. To be cute. To feel cute. I want to get back to that because who needs more stress in their life? Not me! (^▽^) I'm not sure if you've seen the Rise of the Guardians, but it made me want to think about something really hard. What was my center? I believe that my center is fun, childish silliness, happiness. Deep down that is what makes me, me. Though sometimes I feel conflicted about my outright childishness, but that is what makes me happy. Being like a child. Full of fun and wonder and silliness. I suffered from severe depression in childhood (I still struggle with it, but knowing who I am a little more and who I want to be certainly helps. Also it's a secret so that's just between us, I don't usually like people to know.) and can never remember having a carefree childhood. That could be why I show so many child-like behaviors now, but inside me it is just who I am. The one thing that helps my depression the most  is acting extremely happy, that makes me feel really good inside. I feel like inside I will be forever a child and I think that's a good thing. I will take a deep breath, let go of all the pressure I've been feeling, and start dressing up for myself again very soon. (Sorry if this is hard to read and even harder to understand just a bunch of venting. I feel better now.)

Also if you live in the DFW area please be my friend I'm lonely. <3 (≧;∇;≦)/

In other news, I have plans to get a doggy soon! This is the one I have my eye on and I will be going to visit her first thing tomorrow.  http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/25725480 I'm not sure what made me decide I needed a dog, but I have been very serious about it for about a month now. Isn't she the most adorable squishy little aww bucket ever! Yorkies are my favorite dogs. I love sweet little girly looking dogs. I also love yorkies because they are so spunky and I'd like to think I am pretty spunky too!

I hope your all doing very well and didn't miss me too much! I will be continuing my self discovery, but I couldn't stay away from all you sweet people any longer! (*^▽^*)

Let's Buy On A Budget! (Skiteanna's Guide To Everyday Fairy Kei and Sweet Lolita on a Budget)

Dear Frilly Colorful Angel Food Cakes,

Hi everyoneee!!!! I had an idea to do this guide in the shower (where all great ideas seem to happen!) I thought that since I was using these same tips to help myself maybe I could help others too! This is a living post and I will be adding more to it as I think of new ways to better it! Now on to the guide I was talking about!!)..

Princess Skiteanna's Guide To Fairy Kei and Sweet Lolita on a Budget

(This is written under the assumption these readers I talk about want to increase the size of their wardrobe quickly or want to wear everyday or as often as possible.)

Step 1- What Do You Have Already?
This is more of a step for fairy kei girls/boys(Though, a lot of accesories and things can easily be used for both fairy kei and sweet lolita), you may have many things perfect for a full fairy kei outfit already in your own home. If you had an interest in things that pretain to the style before you even knew the style existed you could have plenty of workable T-shirts you bought at the mall, thrift stores, or even Walmart! Many places sell accesories, tutus and tights that would be perfectly acceptable as well. Even if you are thinking right now that you have nothing and are going nuts just waiting for more money, you could very well be wrong. Fairy kei is all about 80s retro kid culture, ask your family members that may have even lived in the 80s if they have their old clothes stored some where then if you can maybe have some and have a ball! Even if your first couple of tries aren't what you are even willing to label "fairy kei" yet, you could always call it fairy kei inspired and wear it while still feeling good about it. I still suggest going through everything you own and laying it out and examining it. You may not see it's usefulness now, but once you learn to look at things for what they could be rather than what they are you may find you have more already than you ever thought. A good way to do that is to gather a since of what clothes can become through inspiration, which leads right into my next step!

Step 2- Do Your Research!! (Gather as much knowledge and insperation as possible)
Look up the style you love, research it, look at all the pictures of it you possibly can, and save the ones that inspire you the most and look at them as often as possible. I have one folder for outfits others out together and a folder inside it for specific items I may want to add to my wardrobe someday that are affordable and not insanely out of my price range. (Though, then I do have a folder for dream items that would be GGREATTTT to have, but right now it would be a bad investment to buy.) Good sites to just sit and look at outfit ideas are lookbook.nu, livejournal communities (Will list some), fashion/personal blogs, and tumblr.

Step 3- Buy Smart! (What can you use in several looks rather than just a few?)
One of the most common early mistakes people make is just deciding to work really hard and spend all the money on one outfit and the matching accesories and what they end up with is one outfit. If your on a budget and hungry to get started (like many are) you may want to save the big outfits for later when you already have plenty of outfits and accessories you can mix and match infinate ways. Thrift stores and sales communities have things for very cheap and many starter fairy kei and lolita outfits can be made solely using Bodyline.co.jp, I have very few complaints on the things I have bought from Bodyline over the years and think that it is a great place to shop. If you can't shop online I would ask around your local fashion communities and see if anyone is selling and maybe you could meet-up and exchange money and items, that is a way to save on the shipping if the gas isn't too much as well. When you are ready to buy ask  yourself this question before you close the deal, 'How many outfits can I make with this useing what I already have?' This is a very important question if you want to wear any fashion daily or very often. You likely don't want to be stuck wearing the exact same coordinate, you want to be able to mix and match and always keep it fun and exciting, right? I want that and I think a lot of others do too!

Step 4- Play Like Polyvore! (You can skip this if you can just do it in your head!~)
You could use Polyvore for this, but I have noticed not everything is on Polyvore and if you want specific items you could just do it like this, take photos of all your clothes and load them on to your computer, (like Poupee girl) if you don't have a camera you could try to find pictures online that are of the clothes you own and save all the pictures to a folder to keep them easy to find. After you do that you save pictures of things you want to buy and have decided you could do something with (Possibly in a different folder). You could use paint and put together as many possible full outfit coords you can using the clothes until you decide buying whatever it is you have in mind would be a good investment.

Step 5- Build Your Wardrobe!
Now that you know the basics, you are ready to buy! I think it would be a good idea to have the goal of at least a weeks worth of seperate fairy kei outfits and a weeks worth of sweet lolita outfits (if your interested in doing both like me and if not just a week or two of one of those fashions.) The outfits can be mixed and matched around so you can successfully wear it everyday! If you have a weeks worth of both that gives you plenty of time to do laundry and prepare outfits for the next days. I am currently in the process of reaching my goal with very little money right now, but I have very high hopes that someday I will reach it and then go even further!

I have found this to be the best way for me personally to reach my goals and I thought theses steps might be helpful to others as well~! I am so so happy to have some people checking on my blog I have seen a few views here and there and I am so glad to know that someone somewhere is reading this! <3 Much love to the readers out there!!

If anyone has other helpful tips please comment with them and help everyone reading and me to better our wardrobes~ (Please tell me if there are any spelling or grammar mistakes at ALL, this was all written really early in the morning before I lost my train of thought!

Let's Go To Texas!

Dear Sprinkle Pops,

I am not dead! I disappeared because I have been really busy. I just got to Texas last week and I thought I would be done unpacking and settling in a LOT sooner than I was. I got here after a super long drive (It was longer than expected and we didn't get back until 3 am because of  road work and stuff.) I have really been enjoying it here and everyone I've met has been very friendly. I will update this in the morning because we are going to see Brave tomorrow and I have to be up early!

Sleepily Yours,

Skiteanna La~Sweet

PART 2

Dear Sugar Coated Strawberries,

I  think I will finally be able to start doing blog entries again (>u< Yay~) I have been so busy with the move and stuff that I haven't been able to do a lot of the things I love, but I'm still having fun of course! So how about a personal update so you can know everything going on in my like (Stalkers ): ..just kidding~ :D)

~ I got a second guinea pig named Spice!(Sugar and Spice) She is the dominant one of the two I learned, even though we found out  she didn't have any front teeth! (They are growing back in nicely :D)

Spice is the dark brown one and Sugar is the light brown one. (That is the only pose I could get them in! They are hard to photograph haha.)

~ When I was unpacking my stuff I saw we were missing my main clothes bag so I pretty much only have the clothes I came here in and a few other things right now. For some reason I brought about 5 or 6 jackets to Texas (TEXAS, I must of been half asleep when I packed hehe). So, I really need to get to goodwill soon we've been trying to get there for a few weeks and it just keeps on not working out (Today we had this horrible storm that almost flipped the car and that's why we didn't go today) It is quite the nightmare for me to be without all my clothes I spent years collecting, but hopefully I can convince someone at my house in Indiana to ship over my clothes if I cover the shipping. It just makes me sad to not have clothes to play dress up in and it's hard to run a fashion blog with no clothes! (haha) Also, my fairy kei tutus and petticoats are missing since they were in one of the bags I left. (I was running on no sleep since I couldn't sleep at all that night, nerves!) Which is really disappointing, but I'll figure something creative out until then!

~ We missed seeing Brave because our going kept having to be put off until the day after the theater stopped showing it! We saw Ice Age 4, which was find because it was so cute and sweet. (Also, I'm pretty sure it had wild guinea pigs in it, just sayin')

~ I got addicted to neopets again! (The cuteness is quite hard to resist)

~ I also am again addicted to poupee girl~

~ I got like 8 new clip bows at Kroger (;D )

~ I have been getting back into writing and drawing (Yay~)

That is about it for now! I would love to have new blog posts and make up for my lack of them the last few weeks, please post suggestions for the kinds of blog posts you'd like to see in the comments~ I had a lot of ideas, but I want to get my clothes before I can do most of my blog ideas. Maybe I could post something once I go to goodwill and get a few things~ (Like a guide to shopping at goodwill and making the most of the cheap items or something similar) I hope to get back to you all very soon! Be safe and have a good rest of your night/day/morning/week!

Backily(just kidding, that isn't a word) Yours,

Skiteanna La~Sweet

Hello World! Let's Go!

Dear Sweetie Cookie Gumdrops,

Hiiiiiiii gguuyyyysss!!! :DD

It's the opening day of my new blog Let's go! I am really super duper excited about this and I hope you are too~ In this post I'd like to tell you all about what will be going on in this blog! Let's get started!

~ Update every Friday!
~ Product reviews (Such as, Bodyline and dolls and that kinda thing)
~ Simple tutorials to cutify your life cheaply and easily
~ Fairy kei and Sweet Lolita help if you have very little money (Like me~!)
~Poetry/ short stories
~ Random stuff
~ YAY

I am feeling very hyper active so for the rest of this post I'm going to babble about stuff going on with me lately~

I went to the fair and won a really soft care bear blanket in the ducky pond game a couple of days ago! They were giving guinea pigs away as prizes for this one game and they were so sick! I think they must of been mistreated and didn't look like they would last a week without proper medical attention, the poor dears ):~ (Proud Guinea pig owner) Speaking of my little Sugar! Let's take a minute to look at her~

:'D Awww <3 What a doll! She's my little baby and she's spoiled rotten! When I talk to her I hear her in my head as sounding rich and a bit prissy, but still kind (Think Rarity from MLP:FIM) I plan to get her a friend soon that I hope to name Spice~ I also want to get her a stuffed animal filled with piggy bedding! <3

Wanna see the object of my current obsessions? :DD~

Angelic Pretty's Dream Sky, oh when will you be mine~? >u< Who else out there reading loves this print? <3

Now this was very fun, but you can learn more about me as the blog continues, because now my sugar coated cupcakes, I must answer my lolita penpal's letter! <3 I love talking to my penpal she is great and sends me the cutest stickers I have ever seen!

How about a vote! For my next blog would you rather see a bodyline review of the Squirrels drinking tea dress in pink OR a tutorial on a very cheap and super simple way to make your phone cuter!

See you next Friday!

Pinkily Yours,

Skiteanna La~Sweet
